Designing a Learning Material Using Podcast

We live in a digital age, where everything from ordering groceries to learning new skills is extremely easy and convenient. This is especially true when it comes to language learning. You can now improve your English with just a few taps – all you need is your phone, laptop, or computer, as well as an internet connection.

Podcasts are an excellent way to improve your understanding of any foreign language while jogging or commuting. They're an excellent way to supplement your language classes and learn new words during your commute or workout.

A podcast is a digital audio file that is made available on the internet for downloading to a computer or mobile device. It is typically available as a series, with new installments received automatically by subscribers. As a result of computer technology, many dynamic approaches to facilitating language learning skills have emerged. Podcasting is one such novel tool that teachers are using to deliver educational content and encourage learning outside of the classroom. According to research on podcasting pedagogy, podcasting greatly aids learners in developing various English language skills. Podcasts were discovered to be extremely beneficial for learning not only in speaking and listening but also in other language skills and areas such as grammar, pronunciation, and vocabulary.

In CALL subject, I together with my team made a video podcast for project. We conducted the podcast by recording in Zoom Meeting with exciting topic conversation. Then, the podcast submitted to Flipgrid, a video tool that allows teachers to post "Topics" that are essentially videos with some accompanying text. This is then shared with students, who can be prompted to respond. The response can be made using the software's camera to create videos that are then posted to the original Topic.
